He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Michael is a founding member of the University Sunrise Rotary. He has passion for gardening and judges gardens for the Arboretum Foundation.
Michael has B.S. degrees in Physics and Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Washington. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the States of Washington and Alaska. He has been with the firm since the 1980’s.

She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Washington and has been licensed in various other states since 1978. She has been with the firm since 2004.

Raines, Gillespie & McMahon, PLLC was originally founded in 1967 as a partnership by Cleary Andrews, Robert Anderson and Robert Gillespie. Forrest Beail joined the practice as a partner shortly thereafter. The firm Anderson, Gillespie & Beail had offices in the Seattle Tower (Old Northern Life Tower) for many years until the move in 1989 to current quarters in the Northgate area of Seattle. The firm became a professional limited liability company in 1994.
All the original partners have since retired leaving Michael Gillespie & Carolyn McMahon as current LLC members.
Our firm participates in the Peer Review program prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Our firm was last reviewed in January 2006. The resulting report stated that all of our accounting practices and procedures complied with or exceeded the standards of the industry.
Our entire operation is rooted in a tradition of meeting the highest standards of accounting practices.
